Sealed to IP66 and tested by MK well in excess of British Standards, it will protect you and your electrical supply in the unfriendliest of environments. In addition to its ease of installation, the range is aesthetically pleasing with a modern, slim and curved design, allowing the switches and sockets to blend easily with their surroundings.

• Surface mounted and flush mounted products and associated service items are available.

• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use wherever dirt and moisture protection is required. All products accept MK push in conduit and cable entries.

• The use of Polycarbonate for the housing of the products created a robust range of switches and socket outlets.

• Provided all enclosure lids are closed and the products are correctly installed, the MastersealTM Compact range offers an international protection code of IP66 when the products are in or out of use.

• Only plugs that have cable entry from a side edge will allow the lid to close correctly.

• All products conform to their relevant National standard as well as the standard for enclosures BSEN/IEC60529. 13AMP Sockets conform to BS1363: Part 2, connection units to BS1363: Part 4 and switches to IEC60669-1.

Masterseal is easy to install. In fact, it was designed with the installer in mind. Terminal screws are already backed out and captive. Top facing terminals are clearly marked, knockouts and conduits entries are push fit and all switches and modules simply snap into place.

Masterseal has the looks, too. Its smooth lines and curves are designed to please the eye as well as provide added strength.

IP55 protection – Each number in an IP (Ingress Protection) rating indicates resistance to invasion by dust and water. The MK Guardian Weathershield is rated at IP55 which means:-

First digit 5 defines Dust Protection – Dustproof from dust. Sawdust and other small particles.

Second digit 5 defines Water Protection – Waterproof protection from strong jets of water from any directions.

MK Guardian Weathershield is tested and comply with IEC 60670 and BS EN 60529 / IEC 60529.

MK Guardian Weathershield’s built-in padlock hole feature provide secured padlocking and prevent tampering with the power supply. The proper sitting of the plug cable prevents water penetration thus achieving IP55.
