Introduction
The EGA Flushfloor Trunking System is designed to enclose
power, telephone and ancillary system service cables, facilitating
distribution in commercial and other similar establishments.
Current commercial environments require multiple electrical
circuitry for secretarial, accounting and complex communications
facilities. Open plan office designs and modern building layout
need a versatile arrangement of services for easy installation
and usage.
The EGA Flushfloor Trunking System is a solution for such
cable management needs. The system comprises four basic groups
of equipment which can be used together to provide the desired
flushfloor configuration: flushfloor trunkings, service outlet
boxes, junction boxes and vertical access units.
There are two flushfloorr models to suit the customers' design
and budgetary needs.
The 'Flex-line'' is designed for all service outlets and
plugs to be concealed on the floor. This model is supplied
with modular trunking covers fitted with quick release fasteners.
The modular service outlets can be installed along any section
of the flushfloor trunking by removing the modular covers
and changing the removable compartment partitions. The modular
service outlet cover frame lid are manufactured from high
pressure zinc alloy die-cast material for strength and durability.
The system can be supplied in single, double or triple compartments
and accessories are available for underfloor ductings to be
connected to the flushfloor trunkings. The minimum screed
requirement for this model is 60mm. Standard widths for flushfloor
trunkings are 155mm, 280mm and 405mm.
The 'Slim-line' type is to suit low screed requirements.
This model can be installed where screed is as low as 28mm.
Modular trunking covers of 406.6mm are supplied for easy installation.
High pressure zinc alloy die-cast types of power and telephone
accessory pedestal boxes are available. These units can be
mounted on the modular cover lids by cutting 20mm diameter
openings.
The 'Flexi-line' and 'Slim-line' models are delivered in
standard lengths of 2.44 metres for the trunking base with
6 nos of 406.6mm modular lid covers. Standard components for
elbows, tees, cross, vertical access boxes, end caps, adaptors
etc are also available.
