Freidland - Evo Décor and Visiocam

Is the Libra compatible with the Evo/Décor ranges?

No, the Libra range operates on a different protocol.

Can I run more than one push for a wire free chime?

Yes, Evo and Décor are able to utilise two pushes. The receiver can be configured to two different tunes for two different pushes.

Can I use one push to run more than one chime?

Yes, you can run as many chimes as you like with one push.

Can I use a conventional bell push with my wire free chime?

Yes, there are extender/converters availables for Libra, Evo and Décor.

Why doesn't my bell work at 50 metres as stated on the packaging?

Distance stated on the packaging is measured in "open field" conditions, building structures, eg. metal and thick wall will affect trasmission range.

Can I buy additional or replacement wirefree bell push?

There are a number of replacements and decorative pushes available for the Evo and Décor ranges, please refer to our products catalogue for further information.

I purchased an additional push and it doesn't work with my existing Evo chime.

The Evo range has a learn procedure, this must be adhered to.

Can I connect the transmitters and receivers to a direct AC supply?

No for Evo Décor push and chimes.

Yes for Visiocam transmitter (door camera unit), but must connect through a 8V/1A transformer. Please refer to instruction leaflet for wiring method.

What is the working frequency for Evo Décor and Visiocam products?

Evo Décor products operate on 433MHz band.

Visiocam product operate on both 433MHz and 2.4GHz band.

What are the chances of me picking up my neighbor's frequency and how many potential configurations are there?

Remote chances to have interference. Evo and Décor prodcts use a unique conding system. Each door push is manufactured with a unique code build in (one of over a million possible codes).

My wire free bekk keeps going off without the push being activated.

If evo/Décor, return the chime to "programming" mode (please refer to product instructions for further directions) and reset the push.

Will the frequency interfere with my other wirefree products back-home?

Many products operate on the same frequency as Friedland products, but legislation restricts the transmission power and transmission time. The Combination of low power and low transmitting time provide least chance for interference in practice. If there is interference on Visioca, change the video channel of the door camera unit and move the receiver away from the source (e.g.: Computers, IT equipment, microware oven).

Are these products Bluetooth enable?

No. All products are not Bluetooth enable.

Are these products approved by Telekom, MCMC or any relevant authority?

The products are complying to the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of the European Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) directive, 1995/5/EC, also comply with Low Voltage and EMC directives as applicable.

The products are now under assessment of SIRIM and will obtain the certificates by early May 2006.

Do I need to have a special license to operate these chimes?

No.

Are these WEEE or RoHS compliance?

All products are WEE compliance. Products manufactured will be  RoHS compliance, latest be July 2006.

Are these products shock proof, especially the receiver?

The products had passed the 0.6m drop test during development.

User should take precaution to prevent dropping the product to hard surface to preserve quality and long life.

Is there any chance of having electrical shock when operate the products during lightning and thunderstorm?

No risk of electrical shock. The products will not attract lightning.

Are these products easily damage during lightning and thunderstorm?

All battery powered products will not be damaged during thunderstorm and lightning. The LCD screen of the Visiocam might flicker if operate during lightning and thunderstorm.

What is the lifespan of the batterie, how many rings?

For the Evo Décor pushes, it will last for 2-3 years, based on 5 operations a day.

In poor location or environment operating at the maximum range, it is advisable to replace the batteries more frequently (i.e. every 12-18 months) to maintain optimum performance. This may be before the light provided on the Evo and Décor pushes flashes.

For receivers, should use alkaline type batteries, unless otherwise specified, because this type has a more stable voltage, and lasts longer than the lower cost zinc-carbon type.

How do I know that the batteries are weak, transmitter and receiver?

Evo Décor pushes confidence light will flash 5 times when the battery needs replacement.

Evo Décor Receiver will have weak / distorted tune.

Visiocam transmitter, the receiver will give a double beep warning tone when the call button is pressed.

Visocam receiver with have the confidence light blinking when it needs recharging.

How can I clean the surface of the chime when it gets dirty?

Wipe with dry cloth.

Can I mount the receiver to the wall?

Décor receivers should be mounted to the wall.

Evo receivers are portable/plug into socket, depends on models.

Instruction manula has clearly specify this.

What is the lifespan of the Visiocam?

No expiry date.

My Visiocam receiver produces beep-beep tone for 30 seconds.

This is an alert trigger by the tamper switch indicating someone is trying to unscrew and remove the door camera.

My Visiocam receiver produces "Ping" sound and display the image randomly?

The motion sensor activates the door camera automatically when it senses movement and produces the ping sound at he receiver to distinguish it from when the button is pressed. If the motion sensor is not required, it can be disabled by press and hold the call button on the camera unit for more than ten seconds until LED flashes rapidly. To enable the  motion sensor back on, pressand hold the call button for more than ten seconds until the LED flashes rapidly.

Must the Visiocam work under natural light condition, what about normal street lighting?

Visiocam can work in complete darkness, with black and white display, only with very limited range from the built on infra red LEDs.

Visiocam will automatically switch to colour display when the ambient light level is sufficient.

My Visiocam only displays images in black and white.

Make sure that the camera unit is placed in an area where it receives natural light and check nothing is blocking the photocell on the underside.

Can I use the MIC volume button to talk to the visitor through the Visiocam?

No. This feature is not available for now. The MIC button is design for future use.
